How our pricing works and fees

A Perfect Space is an end to end locations company that saves time to scout, shortlist and book locations.

Our services:

  1. location scouting- we have a team of scouts who are obsessed with locations and we are onboarding new and exciting locations every day

  2. location services:

    1. base unit and other hire services

    2. traffic management

    3. permits

    4. freelancers / producer network

    5. props hire

    6. styling and event management

    7. logistics and transport

    8. catering etc...

Basically our team is an extension of yours, we are here to solve problems and make your production seamless.

Fees & Charges Explained

Location Day Rates

APS charges 20% fee on top of all location charges charged at time of booking.

Weekend and public holidays will attract 100% load on day rate.

Our location rates are fully transparent and published on our website on each listing page.

Day rates are calculated as follows:

  • 8 hours until 6pm including bump in and out

  • crew size up to 8 people

  • STILLS / Photoshoot only

Recce Fees

Standard

$150 per location (up to 30 minutes)

Tech

$350 per location (up to 2.5 hours)

++ Additional loadings, fees and charges

Location Manager bump in and out for all jobs over 8 crew $500 flat fee.

Events and Activations are priced POA - based on brief details and requirements.

Crew size loading applies as follows:

  • 8 crew and under is as published on website listing pages.

  • 9-20 cast and crew + 25% load on published day rate

  • 21-45 cast and crew + 50% load on published day rate

  • 46 + crew + 100% load on published day rate

Location Manager

is charged at $1200 per day and is added to all crews over 25 and is exclusively managed by APS.

Cleaning

is mandatory on all bookings added to all bookings at a base rate of $350/ per location and will scale depending on usage and location size.

Bond

Each booking requires a minimum 30% bond. This varies depending on production type.

The bond held to cover incidental damages, any overtime charges, additional cleaning, rubbish removal and minor repairs.

Successful handover by location owner or manager will release bond balance within 14 days of production handover unless otherwise notified.

Additional Hours

is calculated on all jobs + 8 hours per day as follows:

  1. $285/ hour until 9pm

  2. $395/ hour 9pm - midnight

  3. $595 midnight onwards

Some larger crews will attract higher overtime rates negotiated at time of booking.

Payment Types

All bookings are charged 100% at time of booking via credit card or EFT. We use Stripe as our payment gateway. Credit card surcharges do apply.

Location Services

Any location services managed by APS will be booked and managed via freelance suppliers at 30% booking/ management fee

Payment Terms, Cancellations & Insurance

100% of the fee is charged at time of booking to secure the production.

Productions are only confirmed once current insurance certificates are provided.

Any last minute bookings (less than 72 hours may attract higher fees and charges) must be paid up front and may impact disbursements.

Location address will not be disclosed until full payment is cleared.

GST is charged on all FEES

Cancellation fees: 50% cancellation is charged 72 hours out and less than 72 hours we may charge 100% cancellation of a change charge, this will change depending on location.

Account Management

All HIRERS will be assigned an APS Account Manager that will be responsible for all enquiries and questions related to their production.
